Prophecy places Flum Apricot in the hero's party despite every one of her stats being zero and her only ability, Reversal, appearing completely useless. She endures contempt and keeps trying to help however she can until the party's sage, Jean, decides she is dead weight and sells her into slavery.

When Flum is thrown to monsters to die, her only possible weapon is a cursed sword that should destroy anyone who touches it. Instead, Reversal turns the curse into power, allowing her to survive and escape with another captive girl, Milkit. With the life others chose for her finally stripped away, Flum begins again as an adventurer, fighting not to save the world that betrayed her but to protect the small freedom she has found and confront the dark forces still pursuing her.
