Transformers: Car Robots

Gigatron and the Destrongers arrive on Earth in search of the planet's enormous energy resources, hoping to use them to gain the upper hand in their war against the Autobots. Their campaign begins with the abduction of Dr. Ohnishi, an expert whose knowledge of Earth's energy could make the invasion far more dangerous.

His son Koji is drawn into the conflict when Fire Convoy contacts him and leads the Autobots in an attempt to rescue the scientist. The first effort fails, leaving Dr. Ohnishi in enemy hands and Earth exposed to further attacks. Koji therefore becomes an unexpected ally in a battle where transforming machines fight not only for one captive, but for the future of the entire planet.
