Kore Kaite Shine

Ai Yasumi is a first-year high school student on Izu Oshima who loves reading manga more than anything. When she learns that her favorite long-inactive artist, Rei Hoshino, will appear at COMITIA, she travels to Tokyo simply to be near the creator who helped make comics so important to her.

An unexpected encounter there leaves Ai with a question she has never seriously tried to answer herself: how does someone become a manga artist? She begins creating her own work and discovers that loving manga is very different from knowing how to make it. Between the joy of shaping a page, the pain of redrawing it, and the fear of showing it to others, Ai takes her first steps from consuming the stories she loves to creating something that might reach someone else.
