Macross

A decade after an enormous alien vessel crashes on Earth, humanity has rebuilt it into the space fortress Macross using technology far beyond anything known before. Its launch day becomes the beginning of war when the giant Zentradi arrive to recover the ship, and an automated attack from the Macross turns first contact into open conflict.

A failed space fold carries the fortress and the city surrounding it far from Earth, forcing soldiers and civilians to survive together on the long journey home. Among them are civilian pilot Hikaru Ichijou and aspiring singer Lynn Minmay, whose lives become inseparable from a war that will challenge not only military strength, but the Zentradi's understanding of human culture itself.
