Rose, the Good Witch of the Lake, lives quietly in a secluded cottage and earns her living by brewing potions. For four years she has secretly loved the royal knight Harij, so his unexpected visit seems like a dream until he asks her to make a love potion for another woman.

Heartbroken but unable to refuse him, Rose stretches out the process by sending Harij to gather troublesome ingredients, hoping to steal a little more time in his company. Instead, the stern knight starts returning day after day with food and an unexpected interest in her neglected life. A potion meant for someone else's romance slowly becomes the beginning of a relationship neither of them knows how to name.
