Akagami no Shirayuki-hime

Shirayuki lives in the kingdom of Tanbarun and works as a skilled herbalist, with rare red hair that draws attention wherever she goes. When Prince Raji decides he wants her as his concubine because of her appearance, she refuses to become his possession, cuts her hair, and escapes across the border.

In the forest she meets Zen Wistalia, second prince of Clarines, and his aides Mitsuhide and Kiki. Zen helps end Raji’s pursuit, but Shirayuki does not want to live protected by his status. She chooses to enter the palace through her own ability and works toward becoming a court herbalist. As she and Zen grow closer, love develops slowly between them, but both understand that walking together requires each of them to build a path of their own rather than living in the other’s shadow.
