Hachiman Hikigaya accepts a weekend request from Iroha Isshiki, who wants help planning the sort of date she could enjoy with Hayato Hayama. With no firm itinerary, Hachiman accompanies her around Chiba as they test possible destinations and activities together.

What begins as research gradually becomes an unexpectedly pleasant day for the two. Iroha's candid behavior repeatedly catches Hachiman off guard, while their conversations leave him thinking again about the elusive idea of something genuine and what it might mean for the relationships within the Service Club.
