Hachiman, Yukino, and Yui continue handling requests through the Service Club, but the problems brought to them are no longer things that can be solved with one clever trick and forgotten. During a school trip to Kyoto, a classmate asks for help with a confession, and Hachiman once again chooses a solution that makes himself the loser so everyone else can avoid embarrassment.

This time, his method leaves a wound that does not disappear. Every answer built on self-sacrifice pushes him farther from Yukino and Yui, while the bond among the three begins to expose feelings none of them can easily name. As student council politics and more personal requests follow, protecting the club's outward harmony becomes far easier than being honest with one another.
