Far in the future, the planet once known as Earth has become Gaia, a world rich in the mysterious energy called Angolmois. The Cybertrons send Lio Convoy and his team to investigate unusual activity there, only to find Galvatron's Destrons already seeking to seize that power.

The rival groups adopt animal forms suited to Gaia and clash across its recovering landscapes. As the Cybertrons protect the planet's inhabitants and study the dangerous energy beneath its surface, Galvatron's obsession with Angolmois threatens to turn Gaia into the center of another devastating Transformer war.
