Fruits Basket 1st Season

After losing her mother and seeing her family situation change, Tohru Honda ends up secretly living in a tent while trying to continue school and work without burdening anyone. The tent happens to stand on land owned by the Souma family, and when Shigure and Yuki discover her situation, they invite her into their home.

There she meets Yuki’s hot-tempered cousin Kyo and accidentally learns a secret outsiders are never meant to know: certain members of the Souma family transform into animals of the Chinese zodiac when embraced by someone of the opposite sex. What first seems like a bizarre and occasionally funny curse hides years of fear, isolation, and painful relationships. Through simple kindness, Tohru begins entering their lives one by one, unaware that growing close to them will change her as well.
