Joe Kirifuda begins fifth grade with his friends Kira and Cap now in the same class. The peaceful new school year does not last. A mysterious tower suddenly pierces the sky, and with it comes Abaku Onifuda, a terrifying duelist who calls himself the king of the Oni Kingdom and announces a massive tournament to determine the strongest duelist alive.

The King of Duematch draws powerful challengers from everywhere to Joe’s town, placing the title of Duel Masters King within reach.
