Boukyaku Battery

Tarou Yamada chose a high school with no baseball reputation because he wanted to leave the sport behind. In middle school, his team had been completely overwhelmed by the terrifying battery of pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and catcher Kei Kaname, and the defeat convinced him that serious baseball was no longer worth chasing.

Then Yamada discovers that Kiyomine and Kaname have enrolled at the very same school. Stranger still, Kaname has lost his memories of baseball and behaves nothing like the brilliant catcher Yamada remembers. Their impossible reunion begins drawing other former players back toward the sport, forcing Yamada to decide whether he truly escaped baseball or merely ran from the pain of losing.
