Shamiko continues trying to behave like a respectable demon, but everyday life in Tama City refuses to cooperate. Momo's calm teasing, Lilith's questionable advice, Mikan's enthusiasm, and the neighborhood's many odd personalities turn even tiny errands and conversations into supernatural comedy.

Between demon duties and magical-girl friendships, Shamiko's supposedly fearsome ambitions are repeatedly defeated by ordinary problems. The smaller the situation, the more room there is for the group's strange logic to make it wonderfully complicated.
