Toukai Teiou draws attention within Team Spica with her speed and bright confidence, carrying a goal that seems perfectly suited to her: win all three major classic races without a defeat, just as her idol Symboli Rudolf once did. Racing, however, does not reward talent alone. Teiou soon encounters setbacks that threaten more than her winning streak, putting her ability to return to the track itself in doubt.

Beside her, Mejiro McQueen continues chasing ambitions of her own, and the admiration between the two grows into a rivalry that gives each of them a reason to keep moving when their dreams become painful. Through injury, recovery, waiting, and repeated attempts to stand again, Teiou discovers that the hardest race may not be toward a finish line, but toward preserving the desire to run when the future refuses to follow the path she imagined.
