Mizusawa High's cultural festival is approaching, and the karuta club must decide what it will contribute. With Chihaya temporarily absent from the planning, Sumire sees a rare opening to shape the club's idea around something much closer to her heart: getting Taichi to notice her romantically.

A performance inspired by The Tale of Genji seems like the perfect plan, but bringing the club together for a school play proves every bit as chaotic as a karuta match. Sumire's romantic ambitions soon collide with the personalities and priorities of her teammates.
