Sadao Maou's modest life in Tokyo grows complicated again as threats from Ente Isla follow him to Earth. Emi Yusa is forced to reconsider what she believes about the Demon Lord she once swore to defeat, especially as Sadao continues protecting the people around him instead of acting like the enemy she remembers.

Chiho begins training to defend herself and her friends, but new attacks by angels and demons place her directly in danger. As the fragile peace between worlds deteriorates, Sadao, Emi, Suzuno, and their allies must uncover the motives behind the new conflict while deciding what home, duty, and their old identities now mean to them.
