Hataraku Maou-sama!

Demon Lord Satan is close to conquering Ente Isla when the hero Emilia forces him through a dimensional gate. Instead of reaching somewhere he can rebuild his army, Satan and his loyal general Alsiel land in modern Tokyo, where their magical power is almost completely gone.

Satan takes the human name Sadao Maou, rents a tiny apartment, and finds a job at a fast-food restaurant just to pay the bills. Before long, his ambitions shift from conquering continents to earning a promotion, but Ente Isla refuses to stay in the past. Emilia appears in Japan as well, followed by allies, enemies, and supernatural trouble. Between work shifts, rent, and battles, the former ruler of demons learns that ordinary life can be harder than taking over a world.
