InuYasha Movie 1: Toki wo Koeru Omoi

Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo continue hunting the scattered shards of the Shikon Jewel when a demon named Menoumaru awakens from a centuries-old seal. His father once fought Inuyasha's father, and Menoumaru now seeks the power connected to Tessaiga in order to restore the might of his own clan.

Unable to wield the sword himself, Menoumaru targets the bonds surrounding Inuyasha instead. Kagome falls under a curse that turns her bow against the person she wants most to protect, while Sango and Miroku face demons tied to Menoumaru's plan. As an ancient power threatens both the feudal era and Kagome's distant future, Inuyasha must break a cycle of hatred inherited from a battle fought before he was born.
