91 Days: Toki no Asase/Subete no Kinou/Ashita, Mata Ashita

Long before the Vanetti family is consumed by revenge, a young Nero, Vanno, and Frate share a reckless Sunday in Lawless. Instead of attending mass, the boys slip away to a visiting circus, chasing a few hours of excitement even though they know punishment will be waiting when they return.

Years earlier still, Ganzo Alary meets a newly arrived Italian immigrant named Vincent Vanetti at a bar. Vincent has little more than ambition and a determination to build a place for himself, and Ganzo's decision to introduce him to the Moreno family quietly sets in motion relationships that will one day reshape the city's underworld.

Later, while Angelo Lagusa and Nero travel back toward Lawless after surviving an assassin in Khota, Nero is struck by a fever. As Angelo tends to him with an improvised remedy, fragmented dreams pull Nero through memories of the people and choices that have followed him into the present.
