Chirico Cuvie begins as one more Armored Trooper pilot in the long war between Gilgamesh and Balarant. Everything changes during a secret operation on the asteroid Lido, where he sees a mysterious woman hidden inside a military facility. From that moment, the very army he served turns against him, and Chirico is dragged into a pursuit whose purpose he cannot yet understand.

His search for the woman he comes to know as Fyana carries him through the ruined streets of Uoodo, the jungles and battlefields of Kummen, the wastelands of Sunsa, and finally the secrets buried on Quent. Looking back on that road himself, Chirico traces the battles, betrayals, and brief human bonds that transformed a nameless soldier into a man determined to discover why powerful forces have been manipulating his life.
