Bardock is a low-ranking Saiyan warrior who has spent his life conquering worlds for Frieza. After a mission on Planet Kanassa, a dying survivor curses him with visions of the future. The images are impossible to ignore: his people annihilated, Planet Vegeta destroyed, and his infant son Kakarot somehow connected to what comes afterward.

When Bardock discovers that Frieza has already begun eliminating his squad and intends to erase the Saiyans entirely, he races home to warn them.
