Hunter x Hunter

Gon Freecss grows up believing his father is dead until he learns the truth: Ging is alive and has chosen the extraordinary life of a Hunter. Hunters are licensed specialists who cross forbidden borders, track rare creatures, seek treasure, pursue criminals, and gain access to parts of the world closed to ordinary people.

Determined to understand why Ging valued that life so highly, Gon leaves home to take the notoriously deadly Hunter Exam. Along the way he befriends Kurapika, who seeks justice for his massacred clan; Leorio, who dreams of becoming a doctor; and Killua, a gifted boy from a family of assassins. Passing the exam is only their first step into a world where ambition, friendship, and survival are constantly tested.
