Hunter x Hunter Pilot

On Whale Island, Gon Freecss accomplishes the seemingly impossible by catching the enormous Master of the Swamp. His aunt Mito keeps her promise and allows him to leave for the Hunter Exam, the dangerous test Gon hopes will lead him toward the father who abandoned ordinary life to become a Hunter.

His journey begins aboard a ship carrying other applicants, where Gon meets the determined Kurapika and the argumentative Leorio. Their clashing goals quickly matter less when real danger strikes at sea, giving Gon his first glimpse of the trials, companions, and life-or-death decisions waiting beyond his quiet island home.
