Mao

Nanoka passes through a mysterious gateway into the Taisho era, where the exorcist Mao saves her from a grotesque yokai. After returning to the present, she discovers that her body has gained impossible abilities, driving her back into the past in search of answers and straight into Mao's investigation of a string of gruesome murders.

Every answer only deepens the mystery. Mao himself is cursed by a cat demon named Byoki, and his sword is equally dangerous, condemning anyone other than Mao who tries to wield it. When Mao's life is threatened, Nanoka has no choice but to take up the blade, revealing that the curse surrounding him may be far more connected to her than she ever expected.
