Kodaka briefly imagines the Neighbors Club as an impossibly wholesome group of friends enjoying the kind of carefree youth they were supposed to learn how to have. Reality is considerably worse. Yozora proposes a yaminabe party, where everyone secretly contributes an ingredient to a hot pot and nobody knows what they will be eating.

With Sena, Yukimura, Rika, Maria, and the others involved, the contents become less like a meal and more like a test of survival. The club's attempt at a classic friendship activity ends exactly as one would expect from people who formed a club because none of them knew how to make friends in the first place.
