Synopsis

Academy City is decades ahead in science and filled with students trained to develop psychic powers. Touma Kamijou ranks at Level 0, yet his right hand carries Imagine Breaker, an unexplained ability that cancels supernatural powers of any kind.

His ordinary life ends when a nun named Index appears on his balcony carrying 103,000 forbidden magical texts in her memory. Magicians are hunting her, and protecting Index draws Touma into the hidden conflict between Academy City's science and a magical world he never knew was real.
