Tokyo is still reeling from the Ryunka disaster when the alien fugitives responsible for the catastrophe hide on Earth. Space Federation officer Birdy Cephon Altera, still sharing one body with high school student Tsutomu Senkawa, is ordered to track them down while the two struggle to keep their unusual double life functioning.

The hunt takes a darker turn when someone begins killing the fugitives before Birdy can capture them. As the mysterious assassin's trail starts touching Birdy's own past, she is forced to confront memories she would rather leave buried while trying to stop another cycle of violence.
