Hayate and the Wolkenritter step into two playful alternate roles far removed from the danger surrounding the Book of Darkness. In one scenario, Shamal embraces a medical persona as a very unconventional nurse; in another, the Wolkenritter are reframed as a magical family whose domestic dynamics are every bit as chaotic as their battles. Familiar bonds remain intact even when everyone is assigned a much stranger part to play.
