Synopsis

Years after the Fourth Holy Grail War, Waver Velvet has become Lord El-Melloi II and teaches Modern Magecraft Theory at the Clock Tower. His position brings prestige, but also a steady stream of problems from the dangerous and secretive society of mages.

When a mysterious shadow begins following him and his apprentice Gray, El-Melloi II turns to investigation rather than brute force. The strange pursuit leads him toward a case where magecraft, old grudges, and the secrets surrounding those closest to him overlap.
