Fate/Zero

The Holy Grail is said to grant any wish, and seven magi enter a secret war by summoning heroic spirits from history and legend to fight beside them. After three Grail Wars end without a victor, the Einzbern family prepares for the fourth determined to claim the prize at any cost.

They hire Kiritsugu Emiya, a notorious “Magus Killer” who believes saving the majority can justify sacrificing the few, with his marriage to Irisviel binding him to the family. His Servant is Saber, a knightly king whose ideals of heroism clash sharply with his ruthless methods. Among the other Masters stands priest Kirei Kotomine, a man unable to understand the emptiness within himself yet strangely drawn to Kiritsugu. What begins as a struggle for one miracle becomes a collision between incompatible ideas of justice, happiness, and sacrifice.
