Gintama Movie 1: Shinyaku Benizakura-hen

Katsura disappears after being cut down by a mysterious swordsman, pulling Shinpachi and Kagura into a search for the missing Joui leader. At the same time, Gintoki accepts a request from swordsmith Tetsuko to recover the stolen Benizakura, a blade whose power goes far beyond ordinary steel.

The two investigations converge on Takasugi and the Kiheitai, who are preparing a violent challenge to the existing order. As the Benizakura reveals its monstrous nature, Gintoki is forced to confront a former comrade and the ideals that once united them during the war.
