Mecha-ude

Hikaru Amatsuga is an ordinary middle school student until he becomes linked to Arma, a sentient mechanical lifeform known as a Mecha-ude. Their accidental partnership makes Hikaru a target because Arma is unusually rare, while the resistance organization ARMS assigns the fierce Aki Murasame to keep them alive.

Aki is hunting a Snake-Type Mecha-ude wielder tied to attacks on her comrades, and the powerful Kagami Group is searching for the legendary Trigger Arm. As both conflicts close around Hikaru, he and Arma must learn to fight as true partners, uncover why Arma is so important, and resist people willing to exploit Mecha-ude power at any cost.
