Broly survives his defeat and crashes onto Earth, where he remains frozen in a long sleep. Years later, the cries of Goten awaken the Legendary Super Saiyan, whose damaged memories make him mistake the boy for Goku and reignite his murderous obsession with Kakarot.

Goten and Trunks are quickly overwhelmed by an enemy far beyond their strength, bringing Gohan into a desperate battle against the monster who once terrorized him.
