Daikichi and Rin continue building their new life together through four small moments that make an ordinary year feel precious. Rin's fish made from autumn leaves inspires a lesson about sea life, while their first Christmas together becomes an eager wait for Santa and his reindeer.

Spring brings plans to view the cherry blossoms with Kouki and Yukari, though a coming storm threatens the outing. Later, after a summer festival, Kouki's remaining energy leads the group on one more detour before home. None of the days is grand, but each reveals how naturally Daikichi, Rin, and the people around them are becoming a family.
