After leaving school and stepping outside the rules meant to govern carnivores and herbivores, Legoshi keeps searching for a way to protect Haru without denying what he is. Society grows even more unstable with the rise of Melon, a violent criminal born with both carnivore and herbivore traits who turns his own inner conflict into a danger for everyone around him.

Yahya, the Sublime Beastar, pursues Melon relentlessly, and his path increasingly intersects with Legoshi's. As the hunt closes in, Legoshi must decide what kind of beast he wants to become and what he is willing to sacrifice for Haru in a world where instinct, love, and fear still define the lines between species.
