Itogami Island reaches a crisis in which Kojou can no longer rely on the power that made him the Fourth Primogenitor; he surrendered it for Avrora. At the same time, the Nod invasion gives Shahryar Ren the opening he needs for a plan tied to the Deva legacy, overwhelming the island's defenses. Authorities decide that erasing Itogami may be preferable to letting the danger spread, leaving Yukina with an order that runs against everything she has chosen to protect. Kojou refuses to accept the island's destruction as the only ending. Without his former strength, he turns to what remains: friends, primogenitors, and combat mages who still trust him, along with one last chance to force a solution that does not demand the deaths of the people he wants to save.
