Obake no Q-tarou (1985)

When Shota Ohara discovers a ghost hatched from a mysterious egg, his family faces an unusual choice: welcome Q-taro into their home or take in a cat. Once the cat's owner is found, the ghost becomes the household's newest resident.

Life with Q-taro is anything but quiet. He shares noisy everyday adventures with Shota, his classmates and other ghosts, though he remains afraid of dogs. Rivalries and friendships turn ordinary days into a string of comic complications.
