Fate/stay night

Shirou Emiya survived a devastating fire as a child thanks to the mage Kiritsugu Emiya, then inherited his adoptive father's simple and impossible dream: become a hero who can save everyone. Years later, Shirou lives as an ordinary student in Fuyuki City with only rudimentary knowledge of magecraft, until he witnesses a clash between superhuman warriors and is pulled into a secret war.

The Holy Grail War gathers seven Masters, each commanding a Servant drawn from legendary heroes. When Shirou summons Saber, he is forced to fight for a wish-granting chalice even though he rejects sacrificing others for his own desire. His ideals are soon tested against enemies who have no such hesitation about what victory costs.
