Shingetsutan Tsukihime

Shiki Toono can see lines of death running across every living thing and object, and cutting them destroys their target beyond repair. He hides the ability behind special glasses until an uncontrollable impulse drives him to dismember a red-eyed woman he encounters on his way home.

The woman, vampire princess Arcueid Brunestud, appears alive the next day and demands Shiki's help hunting the creature that weakened her. Their uneasy alliance draws him into a series of murders and toward secrets buried in his own family, where vampires are not the only monsters wearing human faces.
