Souten no Ken

In 1930s Shanghai, crime syndicates and foreign powers divide the city while ordinary people struggle beneath constant violence. Into this world returns Kasumi Kenshirou, a carefree-looking professor known in the underworld by a far more terrifying name: Yan Wang, the King of Death.

Kenshirou is the 62nd successor of Hokuto Shinken, a lethal martial art, and his return draws him back into old loyalties and unfinished conflicts. To protect the people and promises he once left behind, he must confront gangsters, rival martial artists, and forces seeking control of a city already balanced on the edge of chaos.
