Akame ga Kill! Recap

Tatsumi reaches the Imperial Capital hoping to earn money for his impoverished village, only to discover that the glittering city is rotten beneath the surface. After learning the brutal fate of the childhood friends who traveled there before him, he is taken in by Night Raid, a band of assassins targeting the officials and nobles who keep the Empire corrupt.

Training beside Akame, Mine, Sheele, Bulat, and the others forces Tatsumi to confront enemies armed with deadly Imperial Arms and to decide what he is willing to kill for. The cost quickly becomes personal: Night Raid suffers painful losses, and Tatsumi inherits Bulat’s armor, Incursio, after a battle that pushes him from inexperienced recruit toward a true member of the rebellion.
