After three months of winter sleep, Maya wakes eager to see the meadow again, only to learn that her old friend Philip the grasshopper disappeared during a forest fire. Her search leads her to Mousy, a resourceful mouse who rescued Philip and soon becomes another trusted companion.With Willy, Philip, Mousy, and the many creatures of the meadow beside her, Maya once again follows her curiosity wherever it leads. A decade after an enormous alien vessel crashes on Earth, humanity has rebuilt it into the space fortress Macross using technology far beyond anything known before.
