As the siblings visit a robot exhibition, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake strikes the Kanto region and turns an ordinary afternoon into collapsing roads, bridges, and buildings.Stranded far from home with transportation destroyed, the children meet Mari Kusakabe, a motorcyclist and mother who is also trying to reach her daughter. As the real Baikinman confronts his illustrated counterpart, Anpanman and his friends are caught in a bizarre clash where even the troublemaker has to deal with trouble bearing his own face.

Kirara and Kirari are twin star fairies who illuminate the night with their wands.
