Bakemonogatari

Koyomi Araragi survived becoming a vampire with the help of an eccentric man named Meme Oshino and has mostly returned to being human, though traces of the experience remain in his body. When he catches classmate Hitagi Senjougahara after a fall, he discovers that she weighs almost nothing.

Recognizing that her condition is not an ordinary illness, Araragi takes her to Oshino and begins helping her confront the strange being connected to her past. Soon he encounters other girls burdened by different supernatural phenomena involving spirits, apparitions, and gods. Each case teaches him that these problems cannot be solved by force alone, because the oddity is often tied to something its victim refuses or struggles to face within herself.
