Koukaku Kidoutai: SAC_2045 - Jizoku Kanou Sensou

After a global economic collapse drives nations into the so-called Sustainable War, Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, and several former Section 9 members work as mercenaries in America, relying on cybernetic bodies and years of combat experience. A routine operation brings them face to face with a human whose physical and computational abilities exceed anything they understand, revealing the emergence of a new class known as Posthumans. Aramaki begins reassembling Public Security Section 9 to investigate the phenomenon, drawing the team back toward Japan and a series of cases that cannot be explained by ordinary cybercrime.
