After the existence of the joint anti-terror organization CIRS becomes public, its most secret operations are rebuilt under a new agency called SORD, created to train a new generation of operatives for threats ordinary institutions cannot handle. Mihama Academy is given a second life, not as a normal school, but as a training ground for girls with unusual talents and difficult pasts.

Rena, Tohka, Chris, Murasaki, and their companions learn through far more than classes. Guns, live ammunition, and missions outside the usual boundaries of law are part of their everyday lives, and every assignment tests both their loyalty and their will to survive. They have been given a place in the world; what they do with it is something they must decide for themselves.
