Suzuki is cheerful and outgoing, but she is constantly aware of how other people see her and often changes herself to fit the mood around her. Tani, the quiet boy who sits beside her, seems completely unconcerned with anyone’s expectations. That difference is exactly why Suzuki cannot stop thinking about him.

As the two grow closer, Suzuki discovers that being opposites does not push them apart; it gives each of them something the other lacks.
