Ookami to Koushinryou

Kraft Lawrence travels from town to town trading whatever can turn a profit, saving patiently toward his dream of owning a shop. In the farming village of Pasloe, he discovers an impossible passenger in his wagon: Holo, a wolf deity once worshipped for the harvest and now increasingly forgotten by villagers who no longer need her blessings.

Holo asks Lawrence to take her north toward her old homeland of Yoitsu. He gains a sharp negotiator with centuries of experience; she gains a merchant who knows the roads and markets of the human world. Their journey becomes a chain of currency schemes, risky deals, church suspicion, and economic traps where conversation can be as dangerous as a sword. Somewhere between bargaining and bickering, the partnership begins becoming worth more than either expected.
