Eyeshield 21

Sena Kobayakawa enters Deimon High hoping for a quiet fresh start, but years spent running errands for bullies have secretly given the small, timid freshman extraordinary speed and agility. When the ruthless football captain Yoichi Hiruma sees him escape at full speed, Sena's peaceful school life ends immediately.

Hiruma forces Sena onto the Deimon Devil Bats as their running back, hiding his face behind a dark visor and giving him the name “Eyeshield 21” so rival teams cannot identify their new weapon. Off the field, Sena poses as a club manager; on it, his legs become the heart of Deimon's attack.

As the underdog Devil Bats chase the distant dream of reaching the Christmas Bowl, Sena must learn to stop running away from fear and start running toward something he truly wants, growing alongside teammates who gradually become a team worth fighting for.
