Yowamushi Pedal

Sakamichi Onoda's first wish at high school is to bring back the school's anime club and meet people who enjoy the same things he does. Instead, competitive cyclist Shunsuke Imaizumi notices him casually climbing the school's brutal slope on a heavy city bicycle. Years of ninety-kilometer trips to Akihabara have unknowingly built Onoda's endurance and climbing ability, and sprinter Shoukichi Naruko soon recognizes it too. The pair draws him into Sohoku's bicycle racing club, where a solitary habit becomes a team sport built on drafting, pacing, sacrifice, and trust. Onoda begins as the least experienced rider in the group, yet his strongest moments appear when a teammate is disappearing ahead of him and the simple desire to catch up becomes stronger than fatigue.
